I am having trouble logging in with Firefox.
If you are sure that you are using the correct email and password, and that your Caps lock and Numlock on your keyboard are off, try going to "Tools" on the top menu bar of Firefox and pick "Clear Personal Data".
I keep getting Invite emails, even though I am already a member.
If you were a member of Center Space before Dec 31 and have signed up for the new Center Space under a different email, we may still be sending invitations to that old email for a little while as we try and notify all the former members. To get it stopped, drop Bee a message with the old email and it wil be deleted.
Who can see inside Center Space? Can my boss/neighbor/clients see me?
Online security is very important to all of us in this community. There are inherent risks and reasonable precautions. Knowing them will help you make the right decisions for yourself:
All pages here are password protected. No one can access any page except by being a registered member. The "trackback" and "digg", etc links are disabled and the icons will be removed. The pages are not searchable by search engines, such as Google.
Things displayed on screens are visible. While we hope all members exercise discretion, a registered member may be viewing this site in a dorm room or coffee shop or somewhere where someone looking over might say "Oh my, that's Aunt Betty!" (Hopefully they will add "and she looks so hot"!). Choose your profile image according to your comfort level knowing this.
Access could be breached. On your login page, there is an option to "remember me" that makes it so you don't have to add your full login information everytime you visit the site. If someone has that enabled, and their computer was stolen or accessed by someone else, those users could open the site. Now, probably they would be looking for banking information but the risk does exist. To avoid your computer being the source of this, you can be sure to log in manually every time.
Employer networks are likely monitered and thus insecure for the viewer. Employers utilize a number of ways to monitor employees internet usage, including methods that can show them whatever you are seeing on your screen. If you don't know exactly what they do, and if your job or life would be compromised by them finding out, DON'T access this or any other adult site while connected to your employer's internet, even if you use your own machine.
Who are the registered users on Center Space?
To be a member of Center Space, one must be authorized as a member by the Center's director Allena, who is the person with the master membership records. After she recieves a request that includes a valid name, club name and mebership number, she authorizes an invitation to be sent to that email address. No one is able to join without being verified by Allena.
Who owns Center Space?
Unlike our former network (ning), or other social networks, Center Space is owned by the CSPC. It operates on Social Engine software purchased by the CSPC and is hosted on LunarPages hosting service. LunarPages was chosen because of its content policy:
Will you host adult sites? Yes, we do allow adult sites to be hosted here. Lunarpages has no restrictions upon content of your website as long as it is legal as defined by California law. However, adult sites that require extreme amounts of server resources and bandwidth will not be accepted. Please thoroughly read our "Terms of Service", http://www.lunarpages.com/legal.htm We allow all kinds of adult sites except, free tgp (thumbnail gallery posts), circular pop up sites and free image galleries. Other than that, feel free to be as adult as you can be under the law of California.
How do I add a photo to my blog?
On the writing page use Insert/Edit image to add a URL for an internet graphic. If you want to use one of the images from your Center Space album, click on Insert/Edit and pick the 'Browse Server' tab - you can then select from your albums and images.
How can I make my profile private?
You can make your profile private by visiting the
Account Privacy page. Remember that this somewhat defeats the purpose of having a profile on a social network, but there may be situations where this is necessary.
